Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Dimitrios–Eduardos Daskalakis
Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon
“I have always been fascinated by the idea that in plastic surgery the human body can be seen as ‘clay’ with incredible potential, which you can ‘sculpt’ as you wish, restoring defects or creating a better version of it.”
Dr. Dimitrios–Eduardos Daskalakis addresses each of his patients with the goal of providing specialized services, aiming to fully meet their needs and expectations.
Studies
Dr. Daskalakis Dimitrios – Eduardos graduated with honors from the 1st High School of Nea Smyrni and decided to follow his passion for medicine, with a focus on serving others.
The first step in the journey of medicine was enrolling in the medical school of “OVIDIUS” Univercity.
After 6 years and successfully completing his studies, he received his degree in Medical Science, excelling and choosing Plastic Surgery as his specialty without a second thought.
He then fulfilled his military obligations, serving his entire term as a Unit Doctor at the Hellenic Navy Naval Base on the border island of Leros.
His specialty in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery began as a resident at the First Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the “Aglaia Kyriakou” Hospital for three years. There, his very experienced teachers showed him the huge range of applications of plastic surgery in children and how crucial it is for their quality of life.
Then, another major milestone in his professional career was his agricultural career.
Where he initially served at the Regional Clinic of Loutra Edipsos and then at the Regional Clinic of the Local Community of Lichada.
During his tenure, he faced extremely adverse situations, working under increased pressure and often adverse conditions, making every effort to ensure the best possible care for his patients.
Afterwards, the pivotal point in his career was his specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Serving in two of the most well-known Hospitals in Attica, with a multitude of cases on a daily basis: the Athens Naval Hospital and the 401st General Hospital, he worked with passion and dedication to his science for six years.
During these years, he was taught the full spectrum of plastic surgery and trained in dealing with the full range of cases that a plastic surgeon may be called upon to deal with, from very simple conditions to very serious injuries, congenital anomalies, severe pathological conditions, burns, but also in surgical oncology where the treatment and rehabilitation in all these conditions is extremely complex and difficult.
At the same time, alongside renowned private Plastic Surgeons, he observed and was initiated into the secrets of Cosmetic Surgery as well as the application of non-invasive treatments such as laser treatments and injectable treatments (Btx, hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy, etc.)
After successful exams, he was awarded the title of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, of which he feels particularly proud, as he himself, as an accomplished surgeon, now represents his science worthily.
He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, EEPEAX.
